So a bit about me: I'm one of those people who insists on doing everything myself BECAUSE I CAN. My poor dear husband suffered greatly from this while we were engaged. My level of involvement in our pre-wedding activities bordered on the insane, not so much because I cared how things looked but because I am Italian and Italians are thrifty and we do things our gosh darn selves.
My bridal shower was planned and hosted by my beautiful maid of honour and her mother, and they did an incredible job. My mother and I felt obliged to contribute in any and every way possible, so as not to feel too guilty about their generosity (if you are Italian you will understand the guilt factor).
I, of course, made cookies. These little guys were pretty quick to whip up, but don't they look so sweet on that antique silver tray?
Oh and in case you're wondering, the sign (hand-drawn by moi) didn't mean "please take one cookie." It meant "please take a favour," which you can see on the table behind the cookies. My incredible mother scoured the internet for individual, made-in-England china teacups which she then ordered to our house, wrapped in tulle, and tied with ribbons to give away as favours. She is a boss. #bosslady
